Dancehall Publicist Shuzzr launches ‘Pride in the Islands’ Initiative

Brooklyn, New York  (Shuzzr PR)- Reggae-dancehall entertainment publicist, Shuzzr, who was recently highlighted by Billboard Magazine as an “industry executive working in genres that are not always included in the conversations about Pride in the music industry” officially today launched his ‘Pride in the Islands’ initiative.

Pride in the Islands seeks to support PRIDE activities across the Caribbean region, the initiative which will not just support advocacy groups based in the Caribbean seeking to undertake PRIDE activities but recognize and support talented individuals who fall within minority groups pursuing, fostering, and effecting change in the Caribbean.

After years of working in an non-all-inclusive music industry, Shuzzr recently spoke with Stephen Daw from Billboard Magazine (Shuzzr Billboard Interview) and was included in the Billboard & The Hollywood Reporter 2020 PRIDE PROM.

With your donations, “Pride in the Islands”  will be able to  execute it’s mandate and bring awareness and foster inclusivity.  Upon reaching our financial goals, we will establish a team who will aid in executing the project and ensure we live up to our responsibilities & ethical guidelines. A fundraiser campaign seeking $US100,000 on Gofundme.com was launched to kick off the initiative, has been started and already receiving donations.

“We have to find creative ways of developing not just ourselves but others around us. Not many will get the opportunities but where you can effect change, do it” Shuzzr added.

Help us highlight and support individuals who are often overlooked but pioneers on the rise.  Help us bring their work, their story and cause to the front-line. Be a part of the #PrideInTheIslands movement. We are on all social media platforms so Like, Share & Follow. Join the Movement!
