Beenie Man Hits Back At Critics.

New York, USA (Shuzzr PR) – Following criticisms for his comments on a Hot 97 interview some months ago, Beenie Man has responded to his naysayers, including Elephant man, with a song called My Ratings.

The song, which is a production of Studio Vibes Records, will be distributed by 21st Haplios. The song was officially released on August 26.

In the song, he said, “king of the dancehall from birth mi ordained/ Mi badda than the whole a dem, mi nuh fraid fi call name/ From ’92 till now mi caan lame, it nuh tek nutten fi hit all when mi nah aim/ Weh dem a hype bout mi already do/ Nuh matter how dem cross, angry and miserable, dem haffi acknowledge mi as the incredible.”

While Beenie Man did not call any names, he later said, “Mi a the first, middle and last… Alpha and Omega of dancehall. Mi a di king. Mi ratings international and if dem pree the thing dem will see the thing.”

These comments came after the Hot 97 interview in which he said he was “the balance of dancehall.” He also said Baby  Cham and Mr Vegas were not very visible.

As for Elephant Man, he said: “Elephant Man is not there (musically), I haven’t seen Elephant Man for like two years now, like seriously. Dancehall is not broken. some of the artistes are broken; I am still here, and I am still putting out hit songs.”

Elephant Man was quite upset about it and did not mince his words when responding to Beenie’s comments.

“Beenie Man bad mind until him teeth and the middle of him hair a drop out. He never has nothing good to say about other artistes,” he said.

“Yu too bad mind. Yu try offa Yellowman. Yu not even own a studio fi record yu song dem, bout yu live inna apartment with 300 man. Wicked people cyah pretend too long, ah yourself yu a trick because yu nah run no dancehall, go fix yu teeth dem wey a drop out,” Elephant Man added.

Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed King of the Dancehall recently celebrated his birthday in South Florida, USA on August 22 at the All- Black Affair hosted by JABBA of Massive B and the other to held in Kingston.

He also recently concluded a North American tour and is now wrapping up a European tour.
